Sanitary pad donation provides security for girl learners
To ensure girl learners could start the year off smoothly, Roshni Naicker donated sanitary pads to Alipore Primary School.
SAVE The Dignity of Our Girls in School started the year by donating sanitary pads to girl learners at Alipore Primary School on January 16.

Roshni Naicker, founder of the non-profit, said the organisation seeks to stop girls from missing class because they don’t have menstrual products.
Naicker also said they will do a Valentine’s Day raffle to get the community involved. People who donate sanitary pads to the organisation will get a chance to win a gift basket worth over R500.
“The contest is a way to get people to support our initiative but also to share our thanks for all their support,” she said.
Save The Dignity of Our Girls in School helps girls in Durban South by teaming up with schools and community members to tackle menstrual issues that affect school attendance as well as self-esteem.
People who want to donate pads, join the Valentine’s Day raffle, or learn more about the group can contact Roshni Naicker on 079 565 1567.
