Hazel Francis, the Montclair CPF PRO, said the day was a special occasion dedicated to recognising the commitment and sacrifice of the men and women in blue.
Francis said that the CPF and SCP wanted to express their gratitude to the local officers and station management for their constant service to Montclair.
“The relationship between the community and the police is a partnership built on trust and collaboration. By taking the time to celebrate National Police Day the Montclair CPF and SCP acknowledged the tireless efforts, long hours and personal sacrifices made daily by the South African Police Service in Montclair and beyond,” said Francis.
As a token of appreciation, the officers were treated to a lovely breakfast. Pastor Caleb Sookhoo, PRO for the SCP, said community leaders expressed their gratitude directly to the attending officers, reinforcing the message that the community stands firmly behind them.
“The day was a reminder that safety and security thrive when communities and law enforcement work hand-in-hand,” said Sookhoo.
