Construction worker injured in structural collapse on The Bluff
The man, believed to be in his twenties, was pinned beneath a concrete pillar while working on Beach Road near Byng Avenue on The Bluff.
A CONSTRUCTION worker was injured in a structural collapse on Beach Road near Byng Avenue on The Bluff late yesterday afternoon (February 10).
ALS Paramedics and eThekwini fire department responded to the scene where the man had been pinned beneath a concrete pillar while working.

According to the spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson, Advanced Life Support Paramedics and a crew from eThekwini Fire Department worked together to free the man from beneath the rubble.
“The man was successfully extricated and stabilised on scene before being transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The cause of the collapse is not yet known,” said Jamieson.
