One person killed, three others rushed to hospital in Wentworth

Emergency services are currently at the scene in Hime Street, Wentworth where one person was killed and three others sustained injuries.

ONE person died and three others were rushed to hospital following a shooting in Hime Street, Wentworth this afternoon (February 11).

According to the spokesperson for PT Alarms, Dhevan Govindasamy, PT Alarms Tactical Specialised units responded.

“PT officers met Wentworth police, Durban Metro Police Service and other law enforcement units on scene. One victim, alleged to be a teen, was fatally injured and three others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital via private transport,” said Govindasamy.

Attempts to get comment from the Wentworth police station were unsuccessful at the time of publishing.
