Free Bible study programme launched in Merebank

Keeping the tradition alive almost 40 years after his father started it, a Merebank pastor has started free bible study classes for the community.

DRIVEN by a passion for the Bible and the community around him, Merebank’s Pastor Nehemiah Simeon is offering a free Bible study course, keeping alive a tradition his father started almost 40 years ago.

Pastor Simeon said that the Bible School came from a wish to give believers a solid understanding of the Bible. He believes it is important to keep building on what his father, Pastor Charles Simeon, started in 1986 for future generations.

“The Bible school offers free in-person and online Bible study programmes for individuals passionate about deepening their understanding of Scripture, regardless of financial means,” said Simeon.

The courses are for everyone, whether they are new to the faith or want to improve their leadership skills.

Simeon, who serves as the resident pastor at Merebank Christian Fellowship, has a vast knowledge of the Bible which he studied at Durban Bible College, DCC, Rhema Bible College, Faith Bible College and Grace Bible Institute. Simeon also obtained his master’s degree in biblical studies.

He stated that money should not stop anyone from studying the Bible. The goal is to help people grow spiritually and to strengthen families and communities through biblical teachings.

Those who are keen on registering for the programme or want to find out more, can contact Pastor Nehemiah Simeon on 073 582 1307 or via email at nehemiah.simeon@gmail.com.
