Mural reflects Wentworth’s transformation

AS part of the commemoration of June 16, Wentworth residents painted a mural at a flat on Lubbe Road to symbolise transformation, unity and community renewal.

A memorandum outlining their concerns and demands was handed over to Ward 68 councillor Aubrey Snyman.

The mural project brought together residents of all ages, creating a space for reflection on the significance of June 16.

Community members worked together using art as a way to honour the past while expressing hope for the future.

Organisers said the initiative was aimed at inspiring pride in the neighbourhood and encouraging residents to take an active role in improving their surroundings.
