The event focused on providing essential shots to cats and dogs in the area. Kayleen Madasamy, chairperson of the organisation, said that around 150 dogs and 10 cats received their rabies shots.

Beyond rabies protection, pets at the drive were administered other necessary vaccines, and some received deworming treatments. The event also served as a platform for owners to consult with the team regarding responsible pet care and animal health.
“The team addressed any questions and offered practical advice, and ensured each animal underwent a basic check before departing,” she said.
Ward 68 residents utilised the service to ensure their pets were protected against rabies and other potential diseases.
