NOTICE MPUMALANGA GAMBLING ACT, NO.5 OF 1995, AS AMENDED
APPLICATION FOR PROCUREMENT OF A FINANCIAL INTEREST IN A BOOKMAKER LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that the entities listed below submitted applications to the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator for consent to hold an indirect financial interest as contemplated in section 36 of the Mpumalanga Gambling Act, Act 5 of 1995, as amended (“the Act”), in LottoStar Proprietary Limited, the holder of a bookmaker licence.

•Arkle 1967 Holdings Limited
•Arkle 1967 Midco Limited
•Kutana Leisure And Gaming Proprietary Limited
The applications will be open for public inspection, for 30 days from 05 June 2026. An electronic version of the public inspection copy may be requested from licensing@mer.org.za.
Attention is drawn to section 26 of the Act, which makes provision for the lodgement of written objections in respect of this application. Any person who desires to object to the application is hereby invited to lodge their written objections with the Chief Executive Officer of the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator, First Avenue White River Mpumalanga Province, South Africa 1240 or Private Bag X9908 White River Mpumalanga Province South Africa 1240, within 30 days from 05 June 2026.
