EDITOR – The assistance of the parks board is required to trim a large tree situated on the corner of Watsonia and Beacon roads on the Bluff.
This tree is situated on the road on municipal property. It overhangs the road and grows into the surrounding private properties.
It obstructs the street light at night, creating an area of darkness below it and whenever a huge truck passes below it,branches are broken off and left on the side of the road for me to disperse of.
Over the past few years I have tried on several occasions to obtain the assistance of the parks department to trim the tree, unsuccessfully.
I will continue trying year after year because I believe there is someone out there with a conscience who is prepared to help.
