EDITOR – On Wednesday, 12 March my friend dropped me off after work, she reversed out of my driveway and turned sharply onto the pavement and directly into a manhole that has been uncovered for a month.
It was reported about a month ago, as school children use this busy road every day and nothing has been done to close it. The really good part of this is that my daughter and I tried to lift the front wheel of the car out of the manhole, while she reversed to no avail. Just then, a runner came down the road and we asked him to help us and the three of us managed to get the wheel out of the hole, so we would like to say a big thank you to this man for helping three women. If everybody in this country is helpful, what a wonderful place it would be.
