Mall regrets inconvenience

I am a young girl who provides for my family but now I can't walk.

EDITOR – I am a 24-year-old woman who works at Bluff Towers and I was injured in the mall’s public toilets.

On Wednesday, I went to the rest room and after I was done, I went to wash my hands at the sink, which was made out of granite. A piece almost a metre long fell off and injured my foot, and it’s amazing how the centre management says it was an accident. I cannot walk and am in a lot of pain. I would like the public to be aware of this and for them to watch their children when using the toilets as its a major hazard, especially as they have not cautioned people to ensure the safety of customers.

Response from Mall Management:

EDITOR – Thanks you for giving us the opportunity to comment.
The granite sink in question was installed during the revamp in 2006, this was an accident and in no way an act of negligence on the centre’s part. We regret the inconvenience it has caused.
