EDITOR – The parish of Christ The King and Edna Burgess soup kitchen thank all sponsors who made it possible to feed families on a weekly basis throughout the year.
Due to the generous donations, they could serve a Christmas lunch and give each family a grocery hamper.
Times are tough and it is only through the generosity of sponsors can we assist the poor, single mothers and widows in our community.
With the long school holidays many families will battle we appeal for donations of jam, peanut butter, sandwich spreads, tin fish to assist these families.
We thank the women who give of their time to cook and serve the poor throughout the year.
