Wilma McKenzie, the school’s financial secretary, shared that it was an exciting atmosphere with both learners and spectators in high spirits.
“The school’s three houses King, Farewell and Fynn, competed with determination in long runs, sprints, hurdles, shot put, high jump, long jump and relays. It was the yellow-clad Farewell house who were crowned this year’s winners,” said McKenzie.
McKenzie expressed the excitement of the spectators and parents as they cheered for their children. “Many parents were also getting into the spirit, even asking about a possible parent race that could be held, adding to the amiable, community-focused feeling of the day,” said McKenzie.
Fynnland Primary’s inter-house athletics day once again proved a highlight in the school calendar as it celebrated teamwork and school spirit.
