Warriors set to battle for glory at Iber Cup

The Wentworth team is now gearing up for the Iber Cup games that will be held in Johannesburg from December 12 to 16.

WENTWORTH’S soccer team, Warriors, is all set to participate in the Iber Cup games that will be held in Johannesburg next month.

In preparation for the game Warriors locked horns with DH Seven at the Ogle Sport Grounds in Wentworth on November 16. The two teams, both preparing for the Iber Cup, clashed in an intense showdown and showcased their exceptional skills.

The Iber Cup will be held at the University of Johannesburg Sport grounds from December 12 to 16.

In the first half, the Warriors put pressure on their opponents, with the strikers weakening the DH Seven’s defense line.

Warriors scored two goals in the first half. In the second half, the Wentworth boys scored another goal, making it a bit difficult for the uMlazi team to equalise the score. The game ended in 3-0 in Warriors’ favour.

The Warriors’ coach, Kearne Dunn, was impressed with his team’s exceptional performance which he attributed to hard work and dedication.

“As the team will be participating in the upcoming Iber Cup, it is important that they rehearse for such tournaments. It’s an exceptional show for the boys,” he said. Ethan August was nominated as the Man of the Match.
