Orlando West to face power supply interruptions
Maintenance activities to leave residents without electricity for hours.
Yesterday, Eskom began with its maintenance to the electricity network in Orlando West.
With maintenance activities happening, it means residents will spend at least a few hours without power in their homes.
The planned electricity supply interruptions are scheduled to happen on August 11 and August 12 from 9:15am to 11pm.
Spokesperson Reneiloe Semenya said they deemed it important to inform its customers of the planned electricity interruptions during the maintenance period.
Semenya said Eskom apologises for the inconvenience caused and wishes to request customers not to report this particular fault to the contact centre.
“When maintenance is about to take place in other Soweto areas, residents will be informed in time before power interruptions,” said Semenya.
For safety reasons, customers are urged to treat all power supply points as live at all times.
