Burglary on the rise in Pimville

Kliptown police have appealed to residents to refrain from buying stolen goods. This, police believes fuels the trend of housebreaking which has been on the rise on the past week.

Pimville and Klipspruit have been hit hard by this crime.

“The cases of residential burglaries that are reported on a daily basis are alarmingly worrying. We urge residents to give information if such activities are witnessed and not turn a blind eye,” said constable Thuli Ngwenya, communications officer at Kliptown police Station.

In addition to not buying stolen goods, Ngwenya further appeals with the community to work together with the police to put an end to this crime.
