Driving under the influence is a serious offence that puts not only the driver but also other road users at risk.

The consequences of drunk driving can be disastrous, ranging from serious to fatal injuries, damage to property, and legal repercussions.

Patrick Jaca, JMPD’s newly appointed chief of police, emphasised the importance of responsible driving, appealing to all drivers to never drive after consuming alcohol.

“Such recklessness puts innocent lives at risk,” said Jaca.

The JMPD has a zero-tolerance approach towards drunk driving and will continue to conduct operations to deter and apprehend offenders.
