Police launch manhunt for rape suspect in Freedom Park

Police released a photo of a man wanted for questioning in a brutal rape incident in Freedom Park.

Eldorado Park police have launched an appeal for public assistance in tracing a 20-year-old man who can aid in the investigation of a rape case that occurred in Freedom Park on April 28.

Sergeant Fezeka Khobo, Eldorado Park police’s communication officer, urged anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the individual in the image to come forward and assist in bringing justice to the teenage victim.

“The suspect’s photo has been released, and authorities are counting on the public’s help to crack the case,” Khobo said.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Constable Mthembu on 061 448-6734 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. All information will be treated confidentially.
