Former Kliptown Secondary School learners reunite
The former learners also paid tribute to Llewellyn Low, who was a founding member of the group, who was shot and killed earlier this year.
The second annual reunion of former Kliptown Secondary School (KSS) learners of the 90s took place at Fun Valley Pleasue Resort on December 1, bringing together old friends and classmates for a day of reminiscence and reconnection.
The event, attended by over 100 former learners, was organised by Shaun ‘Garf’ Govender, Pevril Fisher and Neville Williams with support from Eldos FM, who were determined to make the reunion an unforgettable experience.
Govender said the reunion was about catching up with old friends, sharing opportunities and inspiring the next generation. It also aimed to celebrate the school’s 100th anniversary.

“We want to make Eldorado Park a better place. We owe it to ourselves to make a difference,” he said.
Gareth Jacobs, a former learner who attended the reunion, echoed Govender’s sentiments.
“Academics and sport went hand in hand for us,” he said.
“We were not all on the same level, but we looked out for each other. Today, we are still looking out for each other.”
The reunion also paid tribute to Llewellyn Low, a founding member of the group, who was shot and killed earlier this year.
Another former learner, Azilia Brothers, said it was amazing to see former classmates and friends reunite after all these years.
