Partnership helps bring smiles among children Baragwanath Hospital

The Smile Foundation and AngloGold Ashanti have partnered to bring hope and healing to children born with cleft lips and palates and those who suffered severe burns.

The Smile Foundation and AngloGold Ashanti joined forces to host a Smile Week at the Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, giving 15 children life-changing plastic and reconstructive surgeries.

The December initiative restores the smiles and confidence of children born with cleft lips and palates and those who have suffered severe burns.

Beneficiary Mangaliso Tjobejane (12) had ground-breaking tissue expansion surgery to repair a severe burn sustained in 2016.
