Johannesburg’s iconic Kitchener’s Carvery Bar has reopened after a spectacular relaunch, marking the start of an exciting chapter for Braamfontein’s nightlife.

The revitalised bar comes after a partnership between Castle Lager (CL) and Play Braamfontein (PB).

According to Adam Levy, PB’s CEO and founder, the partnership with CL allowed the reimagining of Kitchener’s while staying true to its roots.

“We have created a place where people can gather, celebrate and experience the vibrant spirit of Braamfontein in a new way,’ Levy said.

The event highlighted Braamfontein’s rejuvenation as a hub of culture and connection, with the attendees including sporting legends and current rugby, cricket and football players.

Comedic duo Donovan and Jason Goliath entertained the guests, who enjoyed a modern braai twist on classic bar fare paired with CL.

The event also unveiled CL’s updated packaging, blending the brand’s 130-year legacy with a sleek, contemporary look.

Thomas Lawrence, the brand director of CL, stressed the brand’s commitment to fostering connections and celebrating shared moments.

“Kitchener’s is more than just a bar. It is a space where memories are made, and stories are shared,” Lawrence said.
