Music brings residents of Klipspruit together
Tennis vs Golf in an R‘nB and soul event that brings together the people of Klipspruit and Soweto.
The third annual Tennis vs Golf (TvsG) event, filled with R‘nB and soul, will be at Café Hangover on February 1.
TvsG is Chris ‘Mr Mish’ Mashishi’s, an R‘nB and soul DJ, a concept. His passion for music grew alongside his brother’s influence.
The annual Klipspruit, Pimville, event sees locals enjoy music that resonates with them.

The event was called Tennis Sunday but changed to TvsG in 2023 and is now one of the biggest events to come out of Soweto.

This event creates employment for small businesses and locals by employing patrollers, food and snack vendors, and waitresses and waiters.
Mashishi shared his dreams and hopes for the event, “As the founder of this event that started small, my only wish is for it to grow and be recognised by locals and internationally. I want to be remembered as an R‘nB and soul DJ who touched people’s hearts with his music and contribution to the community.”
The event brings together DJs from the Vaal, Alex and Soweto. Mr Mish has built a brand by being a resident DJ at Rockafella and sharing the stage with Tshepo Junior, Njomane, Refiloe and DJ Young.
