Rilla_SA set to release spiritual hip-hop anthem Wankutlwa featuring Flash Cortez

Soweto-born hip-hop artist Rilla_SA will drop his inspirational new single Wankutlwa on 15 July. Featuring Flash Cortez, the track blends spiritual themes, prayer, and native sound to uplift and motivate listeners.

Soweto-born artist, Kamohelo Molefe, known as Rilla_SA, will release his new hip-hop single titled Wankutlwa featuring Flash Cortez, on July 15.

The song was inspired by the power of prayer, personal growth, and the improvements Molefe has seen in his life. Its message centres on believing and trusting that God hears and answers prayers.

“This song fits into my overall artistic vision because it talks about the spiritual path I’m taking as an artist, the struggles I’ve overcome, and my determination to keep making music,” he said.

Molefe said he took the title from the chorus of the song, which is about prayer and asking God to open up opportunities.

He Molefe explained that his creative process for this song involved collaborating with well-known Sesotho fashion producer Flash Cortez to create a koriana sound, which allowed him to express himself in his native language.

“I hope that by listening to this song, people will continue to believe in themselves, stop giving up on their dreams, and discover the power of prayer.”

Molefe shared the personal experience that inspired the song – kneeling to pray whenever he faced discouraging situations. He emphasised that prayer helps him find hope and continue pursuing music.

He added: “I’m also going to drop a collaborative amapiano project and YouTube content with Dimples Dlamini.”
Once the song is released, listeners can find it on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Music.
