Greg Cheyne is the man
Astute punters could have taken the hint last week and maybe had a small bet on 66-1 shot Dynastic Power in the Grade 2 Betting World 1900m at Greyville last Friday night as jockey Greg Cheyne had given up a full card of potential winners at Fairview to ride in KwaZulu-Natal.

Unfortunately I was not one of them but I will be looking to Cheyne at Fairview today as he could win hopefully four races for trainer Alan Greeff.
The jockey-trainer combination kick off with a first timer in Race 1. Owner Edmund Siu had to go to R400 000 to purchase the Silvano colt, Nottinghamshire. This colt is bred for further than the 1200m of this race but Greeff knows how to get them to win first time out so the betting needs to be watched.
Cheyne looks to be aboard a fair filly in Race 2, Kanara. This Silvano filly raced green when only third (well backed) but made good improvement, winning next time out over this course and distance.
The Gavin Smith-trained pair of Mock Mambo and Shiraz Cabernet look the only obstacles to her following up.
Simmering in the fifth race has an Eachway chance and is definitely better than his last run would suggest.
In Race 6 Cheyne and Greeff have Kalamain, who probably found the distance and the company a bit hot for in The East Cape Derby last time out and will prefer this trip of 1800m. His current merit rating of 79 looks generous and he should go close to winning.
Clifton Surf, the combination’s entry in Race 7, is back over his favourite course and distance of 1200m and has only the returning-from-a-rest Al Don Cumarco to beat at the weights.
But in spite of the efforts of Cheyne and Greeff, the best bet on the card could be in Race 4 with the back-to-the-turf Renate du Plessis-trained Valmode.
