Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to host 2024 Euro Cup rugby finals

This year's finals venue for the Champions and Challenge Cups is the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

From the Aviva Stadium in Dublin to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

That’s the breaking news announced by European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) on Tuesday about next season’s finals destination and venue.

The finals of the Challenge Cup and Champions Cup will be played at the Aviva next month, with next year’s finals set for the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Dates of finals

With a capacity of 62,850, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is the largest club football ground in the English capital and offers world-class facilities for fans, teams, broadcasters and media, said EPCR in a statement.

The London finals weekend will take place on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May.

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has hosted rugby matches before, namely two Saracens Premiership ties, as well as a Barbarian FC versus All Blacks XV match.

Dominic McKay, EPCR chairman, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce that our 2024 finals weekend will take place at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. It is quite simply one of the most exciting venues in the world and an incredibly appropriate stage for next year’s showpiece weekend.”

EPCR recently announced the bidding process for the 2025 and 2026 finals weekends with iconic cities across Europe and beyond expected to express an interest in hosting the high-profile matches.

The EPCR 2023 finals weekend takes place on 19 and 20 May.
