Agent confirms Ntshangase’s Wits exit

Midfielder Phumlani Ntshangase will be without a club at the end of the season.

This was after football agent Sizwe Ntshangase and is client Phumlani were told Wits will not be renewing the midfielder’s contract when it expires at the end of the season.

Ntshangase is in the last six months of his contract with the Clever Boys and coach Gavin Hunt has informed the player he won’t be need at the club next season.

The Midfielder was loaned out to Maritzburg United by Wits to get more game time but it seems the move didn’t help him convince the Clever Boys’ technical team to extend his contract.

The midfielder’s agent says the Team of Choice have expressed an interest in the player but he is longer sure if the club still wants to sign him after the league was suspended.

“Gavin Hunt (Wits coach) said he will let Phumlani go and he’s agreed to leave the club,” Ntshangase was quoted by DailySun.

“Having said all that, there was something with Maritzburg but then those talks were disrupted by the Covid-19. So going forward, when football resumes next month, he’ll remain with Maritzburg.”
