Khune to retire at Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune has made a promise to Amakhosi supporters that he will end his career at the club.

Speaking on the club’s official Youtube channel, the shot-stopper says his time at Amakhosi has been great and wants to retire at the club.

“I made a promise to the KC (Kaizer Chiefs) faithful, the chairman and everyone at the club and this is where I want to retire,” said the 29-year old.

“It’s been a special journey for me. If I have to combine all the years; five years with the development squad, 13 years with the first team, so you can see it’s a great, great milestone.”

The Bafana Bafana keeper joined Kaizer Chiefs development team when he was only 13 years old and has been playing for the Naturena-based outfit since then.
