The Serbian coach rejoined the Buccaneers on a three-year contract.

“As a sportsman, you always want the best, I believe that I have unfinished business here,” Sredojevic said.

“I had countless offers from national teams and clubs, but I’m here because I love a challenge and I had done all I could with Uganda.”

Sredojevic is aware of the pressure that comes with coach a club like Pirates, and he says he is ready for the challenge.

“I have worked very hard and gained a lot of experience in the last 10 years and reached a stage where I was ready to come back.

“At this club you must be ready to deliver so the first match against Chippa United will be like a Champions League semifinal.

“We need to be more effective. My dream is to have solid defence, creative attack and be sharp in attack.”
