Cassper to support winning team in Soweto Derby

South African musician Casper Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo, says he will be supporting whichever team wins when Orlando Pirates clash with Kaizer Chiefs at the FNB Stadium on Saturday.

“I will be supporting whoever wins on the day,” said Nyovest, who was chosen by drink company Coca-Cola to collaborate with USA based musician Jason Derulo on a 2018 Fifa World Cup soundtrack called ‘Colours’.

The musician went on to say that the main reason why he is not supporting either Chiefs or Pirates on the day is that many of his fans follow football and support both clubs, so he doesn’t want to cause any bad blood between him and his friends.

Cassper also evealed that he used to play soccer growing up as a striker and he looked up to players such as Benni McCarthy, Ronaldo (Brazil), Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho.
