Arendse and Vilakazi blow for Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Wayne Arendse and attacking midfielder Sibusiso Vilakazi will be out of action for the remainder of the season.

Arendse went under the knife to rectify an ankle ligament damage while Vilakazi is still recovering from a knee ligament damage.

With the league drawing to a close, the duo are not expected to recover in time as they could be out for two months.

Good news for the Brazilians is that Dennis Onyango has recovered from his injury.

“He could have played against Chiefs but we decided there was no need to push him‚” Mosimane told reporters, when asked about the Uganda international’s return from injury.

Onyango could make his return to the team when they play Bloemfontein Celtic on Wednesday night.
