Baroka keeper apologises for mistakes after Zim Afcon exit

Elvis Chipezeze has apologised for his goalkeeping errors that saw the Warriors lose to DR Congo on Sunday night.


The Baroka FC goalkeeper Chipezeze conceded four goals in their last group stage match. The result saw Zimbabwe crash out of the tournament having collected one point from three games.

“I am here today to again apologize for the mistakes I have made and the embarrassment I have caused. I make this apology to my nation and my teammates also not 4getin the technical staff,” read a tweet from Chipezeze.

The Baroka FC goalkeeper has vowed to keep going and said he was proud of the team for qualifying for the Afcon tournament.

Meanwhile, Chipezeze slammed his critics in a tweet he sent out after the match which has since being deleted.

This was after some fans asked him to retire from international football after the disappointing performance against DR Congo.
