Chiefs won’t win anything this season – Muchichwa

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Robson Muchichwa doesn't believe Amakhosi will win any silverware this season.

The Zimbabwean says a big club like Chiefs needs to win major trophies, not unimportant cups like the Macufe Cup, whom Amakhosi won last weekend.

“Winning these kind of trophies (Macufe Cup) makes the club a laughing stock. The club’s management need to look at themselves ask question for what is happening at the club,” Muchichwa told Isolezwe.

Muchichwa questioned the players support for coach Steve Komphela, saying they must back their support for him by producing results on the field of play.

“Players need to stop saying they support the coach and show their support for him (the coach) on the field by playing well. They have to die for him on the field,” said Muchichwa.

“What would happen if Tshabalala left Chiefs, players needs to show why they were picked to play for Chiefs. Fans need to understand that Chiefs won’t win anything this season, it is painful to watch,” concluded Muchichwa.
