Gould in search of continental cup medal

SuperSport United defender Morgan Gould says he wants to add a continental cup medal to his cabinet before hanging up his boots.

Gould has own all domestic medals with both Matsatsantsa and Kaizer Chiefs, but the 33-year-old would like to win one more title with the Pretoria based club.

“That’s every player’s dream [to win a continental club competition]. I would like to put my hands on something like that before I retire.

“It’s not easy, but we need to try do what we can on the pitch,” said Gould, ahead of SuperSport’s first-round, first-leg clash against Sudanese outfit Al-Ahly Shendi at Shendi Stadium on Sunday (kick-off 7.30pm).

“For us to get silverware, whether it’s in the Confed Cup or any other competition, would be good for the team and for South Africans. SA teams have been doing well. So why not do what our neighbours did?”
