Hunt happy at Wits, but does not rule out Chiefs move

Gavin Hunt insists he is happy at Bidvest Wits, but adds he would consider a move to Kaizer Chiefs if it is made available.

With Steve Komphela’s contract with Amakhosi set to expire in June, Chiefs are said to be on the lookout for his replacement.

“If it does happen, it will happen, but it is not something that is on my mind,” Hunt responded to the Mercury when asked if he would like an opportunity to manage Chiefs in future.

Hunt’s current deal with the Clever Boys is also set to expire in June, and he is yet to sign an extension.

“I’m happy at Wits. It is a good club. I can stay as long as possible. I always prefer to stay at one club for a long time, but we will see at the end of the season,” said Hunt.

He is one of the most successful PSL coaches having won the league title a record four times.

He has also won all three cup competitions – the MTN 8, Telkom Knockout and Nedbank Cup.
