Igesund turns down Zimbabwe national team job

Former Bafana Bafana coach Gordon Igesund has reportedly turned down an offer to mentor the Warriors.

Igesund has been without a job since last season when he was fired by Highlands Park following a string of disappointing results.

The five-time league-winning coach declined the offer from Zifa because of a potential offer from an Absa Premiership club.

According to Isolezwe, Igesund has tried to get a coaching job at Cape Town City, Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars before the Citizens hired Benni McCarthy and Dikwena went for Peter Butler instead of the seasoned trainer.
