Katsande responds to Chiefs exit rumours

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande says he is not leaving Amakhosi despite the criticism from supporters.

Katsande has been linked with a move away from Chiefs after coming under fire from the supporters following Chiefs’ disappointing season that saw them finish outside the top eight and losing the Nedbank Cup to National First Division side TS Galaxy.

The Zimbabwean international says he will not respond to supporters because they have a right to be angry after a barren four seasons.

“I accept all the criticism. I have been at the club for a long time and I know what it is to win,” Katsande was quoted as saying by Isolezwe.

“I am not upset by what the supporters are saying about me (that he should live) we are senior players and it is easy to point fingers at us if things don’t go right at the club.

“To be honest the fans are right with what they are saying, we didn’t give our best but we can’t change the past.”

Katsande added that he did not see himself leaving Chiefs any time soon.
