Lebese happy to face lower league side

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder George Lebese is pleased they are playing minnows from the ABC Motsepe league in the round of 16 in the Nedbank Cup.

Lebese is not taking their next Nedbank Cup opponents lightly because they are from a lower league. Acornbush United shocked Caoe Town City with a 1-0 defeat to book a spot in the last 16 of the Ke Yona Cup.

“We’re happy with the draw to be honest,” Lebese told Chiefs’ website.

“Whether we get a PSL side or a team from the lower divisions doesn’t really matter because when you play in a Cup game anything can happen. From what I know about them is that they’re a good team in the ABC Motsepe league, and we should approach the game with caution and give it our all to progress to the next stage.”
