Leopards star Tshepe gives back to community

Black Leopards midfielder Karabo Tshepe has decided to use the off-season to give back to his community of Mohlakeng and the surrounding areas around Randfontein.

Tshepe, who has been linked with a move to Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits, embarked on a soup drive on Wednesday.

“My team and I decided to give back to the community in terms of a soup kitchen because we know that not all of us are privileged to have a warm meal every day. We got support from local bakeries and other people who donated straight out of their pockets to help us buy other ingredients for the soup and other stuff. We are looking to make this thing every month whenever we can and we will see how it goes,” said the Leopards player.

Speaking about speculation that he is on his way out of Leopards, the star midfielder confirmed to Phakaaathi that he still has one year left to his contact with Lidoda Duvha and he will be staying at the club.

“I am a Leopards players and I still have one more season to go with the club. So, I will remain with the club next season and to be honest, I haven’t got anything formal about me leaving the club.”

Tshepe is a firm believer in giving back to his community as he also holds annual schools’ tournament in West Rand during September holidays.
