The meeting set for tonight in Pretoria sees the 2016 champions facing the reigning champions in what is seen as a grudge match.
Coach Pitso Mosimane’s men are enjoying a rich vein of form and will be looking at the likes of skipper Hlompho Kekana, Percy Tau and Denis Onyango for inspiration.
For the visitors, the Red Devils are out to successfully defend their continental crown, and to do that they must first beat Sundowns at home.
A win for them in Pretoria will boost their chances as they will want to become the group winners as the race for the knockout stages begin.
