Serero is currently with Al Jazira in the United Arab Emirates where he is a big star and is constantly talked about by the club’s social media.

His contract, however ,ends in June and at 32 he might be willing to come back home and wind his career down here.

Sundowns have emerged as favourites to land him, with the Pretoria giants said to have already shown an interest.

A source claims that Sundowns have put together a solid offer that they will give to Serero, but based on what he earns in the UAE, he might not leave.

“Sundowns are offering something just above R1-million a month for him, he earns a bit more that side.

“But considering that he has made decent money in the three years he spent on that side, he might be open to the idea of coming back home.

“He is not a spring chicken anymore and might want to start thinking about retirement so Sundowns would be a good fit for him.”
