Molangoane aims to sink Pirates

Kaizer Chiefs forward Joseph Molangoane is ready to face his former side in the Soweto derby on Saturday at the FNB Stadium.

Molangoane was previously on the books of Pirates, but he never got the chance to play, as he was not a regular in the team. The 28-year-old hopes to feature in this year’s Soweto derby for Chiefs.

The former Chippa United man has played in eight games for Chiefs after signing for Amakhosi in 2016.

“I can’t wait for Saturday to arrive. I am really looking forward to Saturday’s match and, hopefully, I get the opportunity to play,” he told the club’s official website.

“We just want the maximum points. Every game I play for Chiefs is a great feeling. Soccer is a team sport.

“Of course, I want to contribute by scoring a goal or give an assist for a teammate to finish.

“However, in the end, it’s not about me, I am just part of the collective, we win and lose as a team.”
