Mosimane not losing sleep over potential point deduction

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is not worried that his side might lose points if the PSL Disciplinary Committee rules against them in the case against Wayne Arendse.

Sundowns were called to the PSL DC after they fielded Arendse against Bidvest Wits. The defender was not on the initial team list, but started in Thapelo Morena’s place when the right back sustained an injury before the game.

Mosimane says this is not the first time that the club faced the possibility for losing points.

“My case also came a year after the incident (occurred). Do you remember? It happened when Percy Tau was still playing for us. (Tau left Sundowns in June to join English Premier League outfit, Brighton & Hove Albion),” Mosimane was quoted as saying by IOL.

“It only came now. So, Wayne Arendse, I don’t know how many months back. It comes now. You’ve got to have provisions for those. We will make sure that it is three points plus and then that thing might go away like last year. Do you remember the Ajax Cape Town one? We made sure.”
