Ntshangase pleads for game time at Chiefs

But the 24-year-old has since failed to break into Steve Komphela’s starting line-up, making just one league start and a few substitute appearances.

Ntshangase said yesterday that this does not worry him much as he knows what he can do, given a proper chance.
“The coach has sat me down and we discussed why I have not been playing. He outlined a few things that he feels I must work on to be a complete player. I am working hard to improve my defensive game,” he said.
The one-time Bafana star added that he has not been happy with his output since landing his dream move to Naturena.
“The important thing for me now is to work hard. I am not really happy with my contribution so far because I have had limited game time,” he said.

Komphela recently said that Ntshangase was finding it a little harder to adapt to their system.
“Chiefs are a different animal. It’s not easy for the young man. This brand is big and it can swallow you. You can come here having achieved at your little environment but when you come here the environment is different. To come and hit the ground running is not easy. But he will get there. From where he was playing it is easy to see his talent,” said Komphela last weekend.
Ntshangase might get a rare start when Amakhosi meet Free State Stars at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday in the Nedbank Cup semifinals.
