Nyatama calls for consistency from Swallows after Sundowns draw

"This point will go a long way, it's gold for us, so, we will take the point," said Nyatama after the game.

Swallows FC coach Musa Nyatama was happy to walk away with a point after holding champions Mamelodi Sundowns to a goalless draw in a DStv Premiership match played at the Dobsonville Stadium last Sunday.

It was a very important point for Swallows in their quest to move away from the relegation zone as they find themselves just four points above bottom-placed Maritzburg United.

Nyatama says they will take the positives from the Sundowns game going into their next fixture against Stellenbosch FC next week Tuesday as they look to escape relegation.

“It was a very difficult game, you could see how they were coming at us, pushing numbers and all of that. But we had to stay compact and defend the points. This point will go a long way, it’s gold for us, so, we will take the point, it is okay, we were playing against the champions, we didn’t have to open the game,” said Nyatama after the game.

“Going forward, I think we will take some positives (from this game) going into our next game against Stellenbosch.”

With five more games remaining to the end of the season, Nyatama says his players need to be consistent and he thinks they can register wins in their remaining league games.

“They are getting confident, we just need consistency from now, the players just need to be consistent. Getting points is important, we still have 15 points to play for and I think these boys can do it, and their confidence level is up,” he added.
