Pirates sign former Sundowns keeper Sandilands
Orlando Pirates have announced the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands on a three-year contract.

Sandilands parted ways with Sundowns at the end of last season after the club decided against renewing his contract, thereby ending his eight-year stay at Chloorkop.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper was linked with a move to AmaZulu and Maritzburg United, but Pirates have moved swiftly to secure his signature.
“Orlando Pirates is delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Wayne Sandilands,” read a statement on the club’s website.
“The 33-year old joins the Mighty Buccaneers on a three-year deal, having spent four years at Platinum Stars and eight years at Mamelodi Sundowns, respectively.
“On behalf of the Orlando Pirates, we would like to welcome Wayne to the family.”
Sandilands becomes the fifth goalkeeper at Pirates, as Bucs already have Brighton Mhlongo, Jackson Mabokgwane, Siyabonga Mpontshane and Emmanuel Daniel on their books.
It remains to be seen if Pirates will keep all the five goalkeepers or if they’ll release one or two.
