Pirates star Lorch reveals when he got the Nyoso nickname
Orlando Pirates winger Thembinkosi Lorch has revealed where his nickname ‘Nyoso’ comes from.

Lorch says he was still playing for Maluti FET College when he got the nickname and was given to him by his teammate Jury Merahe during a training session.

“There used to be a song called Nyoso. It was a very popular song and all of sudden one day at training Merahe started calling me Nyoso because I liked to dribble a lot,” said the Bucs player.
“From that day, everyone just started calling me with that nickname and it has been like that ever since then.”
