Pitso avoids questions about want-away forward

Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane refused to entertain questions on the future of forward  Jose Ali Meza, who is said to be looking to leave the club.

Speaking to the media at the PSL offices on Wednesday, Mosimane said it was not fair to ask about Meza when there are other players at the club who are struggling for game time.

“I am giving you names and you ask about Meza, I mean guys, should I take Maboe out for Meza to play?” Mosimane asked members of the media.

“Ask about others, be intelligent, you don’t want to ask about Brockie. Ask about Aubrey (Ngoma)… I mean really, at Sundowns you’ve got to play hey, you’ve got to earn your stripes, Maboe, are you happy with him, seven goals. Who scores seven goals, is he okay, a boy from Maritzburg. I mean really, give him credit.”

Meza is expected to leave Sundowns at the end of the season, along with some other bench warmers like Aubrey Ngoma, Mogakolodi Ngele, Cuthbert Malajila and Oupa Manyisa.
