SA duo off to Egypt for trials

Nemukondeni and Cele hope to impress Petrojet and earn themselves contracts.


News coming out of Egypt is that South African players Thabo Nemukondeni and Philani Cele are set to undergo a one week trial at Petrojet.

Nemukondeni, who plays as a wing and midfielder, has been a free agent since leaving his former team Bloemfontein Celtic back in April.

Cele is a Kaizer Chiefs development graduate. He was promoted to the Amakhosi first team in 2013. After spending some time on loan at Moroka Swallows FC, he was released by Chiefs in 2016. He is currently a free agent after partying ways with National First Division side Richards Bay.

The SA duo hopes to impress Petrojet and earn themselves contracts.

Petrojet are currently 10th in the league with eight points collected from seven matches.
