Swallows official worried PSL teams will poach his players

A senior Swallows FC (formerly Moroka Swallows) official Panyaza Lesufi has revealed that the team’s qualification for the Nedbank Cup last 32 is a bitter sweet feeling.

“It is sweet in that it will give people a chance to see that the team is still around and keep our name in the public sphere,” said Lesufi after the draw which saw his side drawn against Maritzburg United.

“But my main worry is that when teams see our players, they will come for them and we can’t compete against their financial muscle and we will also have to consider that players also want a bigger stage,” said Lesufi.

“We have a group of very talented players which is why we are at this stage of the competition. I know that when other teams see them in action, they will want them,” he added.
