Tade needs to earn his place at Sundowns – Pitso

A lot of goals are expected from Mamelodi Sundowns’ new signing Emiliano Tade, but Pitso Mosimane says the Argentine will not walk into the starting line-up.

The Masandawana coach has a dilemma on who to sacrifice to accommodate Tade, saying his current crop of attackers are doing well.

“Lebohang Maboe is performing. Gaston Sirino provides 70 to 80% of our goals. Themba Zane was good (against Black Leopards), Anthony Laffor was good. I need the captain (Hlompho Kekana) because who is going to pass those balls? I need Tiyani Mabunda to protect everybody at the back. Those are the six players in attack. If I take out Lebohang we don’t score. If I take out Gaston we don’t get those assists,” said Mosimane.

He adds: ““Emi” must know that you don’t just walk in, you must earn it. We didn’t buy him for two games. We know that he found us where we are on the log and let’s be honest, we want him to help us to win the league. Not to deliver the league to us.

“You found people playing, let’s give respect to those who are there and I like it because it puts pressure on those who are there,” the former Bafana Bafana coach concluded.
